Intellectual property is ASD-STAN's most valuable asset. It is the responsibility of all those involved with ASD-STAN to protect these assets and insure that they are used in accordance with this Policy.

ASD-STAN owns and maintains the rights to its Intellectual Property.

ASD-STAN reserves the right to copyright any of its print, electronic products, databases and any other subject matter covered by Copyright Law. This is intended to protect ASD-STAN and its members from unauthorized copying and distribution of ASD-STAN Intellectual Property.

By participating in any
ASD-STAN Project Teams and/or participating in the creation and adoption of ASD-STAN's Intellectual Property, Project Teams members acknowledge that the copyright to such property resides with ASD-STAN. Such Project Teams members agree, if necessary, to execute any and all documents deemed necessary or appropriate by ASD-STAN to transfer and effectuate ownership of all such rights, including but not limited to copyrights, they may have in ASD-STAN Intellectual Property.

Individuals who participate in
ASD-STAN Project Teams and related activities may, from time to time, where appropriate, be required to sign an agreement acknowledging the transfer of any rights in ASD-STAN Intellectual Property to ASD-STAN. The rights granted to ASD-STAN by this assignment shall belong to ASD-STAN in perpetuity.

It is
ASD-STAN policy that the copyrights and other intellectual property rights of third parties be respected and not infringed by ASD-STAN or any of its Project Teams, or any employee, member or other person acting on behalf of ASD-STAN.

Electronic Networks: Copyright Law provides copyright protection for certain works fixed in any tangible medium of expression, now or later developed, from which they can be perceived, reproduced or otherwise communicated, either directly or with the aid of technology. Therefore, inputting, uploading, downloading, reproducing, or transmitting
ASD-STAN Intellectual Property without ASD-STAN's prior written permission is prohibited.
